Starting with this simple idea, Rhonda and Matt Goyke created Green Sand Architecture + Sustainability. They put great thought into what they wanted to contribute and how they could make a difference in the world. As a team, Rhonda and Matt interweave their expertise in architecture and environmental science into every project.

Rhonda Goyke, LEED® AP, is the President and Chief Environmental Officer for Green Sand. Rhonda brings a scientific data driven focus to the company and has previously served as:

  • President and Chairperson for the Hawaii Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council
  • Chairperson for the Regionally Specific LEED® Bonus Credits Ad Hoc Committee
  • Chairperson for the New Hawaiian Homes Board of Directors

Matthew Goyke, AIA, NCARB, LEED® AP. Is an award winning principal designer and senior project manager with experience in architectural design, construction management, project management, and contract administration.  A broad-based education in Architectural Design and Theory as well as Civil Engineering/Structural Design provide a strong technical background to compliment the practical hands-on experience gained from active on-site project participation.
